The last evening in Pyongyang was ahead. We visited the big statue which is showing the happy reunion of two divided countries in the future... sooner or later.

The Arc of Triumph looks a bit similar as the one in Paris. This one is the worlds tallest of course.

Busy six days in North Korea was almost done. One more place... the school.

This is probably not a typical school - or how do I know because I didn't see any other schools. At least great leaders had visited in this school like they had been visiting any other place we had seen during this tour! It looks like people appreciate arts and sports much more than we do in the western world. School is free and they have nine years school program.

Nice graffitis on the walls!

Probably some kind of merited students (no English translation available)

Examples of wildlife. How did that lioness came here... maybe from the zoo.

Students were performing singing, playing music and dancing for us.

So, this was it. We saw a lot. Nothing bad but of course we saw what the locals wanted to show us. Modern city Pyongyang, beautiful countryside, mountains, rice fields, good food, people working everywhere... What we didn't see - cars! What else we didn't see, I can only guess. I've received lot of western propaganda about North Korea and I've received some propaganda from DPRK. Both seem to be more or less over exaggerated! Probably the most amazing thing was to realise how much people appreciate and worship their leaders - those who are sleeping their eternal sleep!

It was time to return to the airport. Our guides took us there. So, we spent the time with the guides from the first moment till the last.

Reliable Sovjet Union made Antonov was waiting for us. Brave and skilled North Korean pilots had a task to return us to Beijing. Just in case, I read the safety instructions...

Safety Card :)
In case you have forgotten, the emergency exit was stuffed with boxes and other belongings that did not fit into the cargo space... I don't want to be a pessimist, but in the unlikely event of evacuation... hmmm, do I really need to continue? :D
