So mysterious. What is it ?

This is the original Star Gate, placed on the Temple of Kom Ombo in Egypt. Some scifi TV series and movies are done baced on this(!?). The gate is also called the Ptolemaic gate.

I looked for Kom Ombo on the web, and found this picture of the Gate of Ptolemy. It doesn't look like a Star Gate...

Strange. I have been in Philae Temple too (I've seen that gate) and I have a book which I bought in Egypt that has different gate with the Ptolemaic Gate name. Maybe there are many gates with the same name??? Cool, an other Star Gate!

I checked the gates. Mine is "the gate of Ptolemy XIII", the bigger one in your link seems to be "the Ptolemaic gate". To me it sounds like the same person, but who knows if this Ptolemy is number XIII...

Well, it might be so that our all knowing guide cheated us with this star gate thing... :)
