...it made me smile

I've been creative!

It's small, smaller than the previous ones but somehow I'm quite pleased :)

One evening in Åland, painters decided to behave like tourists. They drove to the other side of the island and visited some historic places. Well, French and English tourists ruined the fortress of Bomarsund 1854-1856. We saw what is left.

This is the old painting I promised to show you when I posted a story of the angry owls. It's the biggest painting I've ever painted, 1x2 metres. They supposed to be Ural Owls but you most probably you noticed that my owls have wrong coloured eyes! Well, I think I had the artistic freedom to change the colour...

A short vacation with my fellow artist friends is behind. We spent five happy days (including two travelling days) in a beautiful archipelago of Åland. I finished my punk-teddy-bear there and started to paint another piece of lousy art but it's not finished yet. I didn't work hard enough. I wasted my time by tasting different painting liquids, playing golf, walking around birdwatching, taking photos, seightseeing, taking baths in the sauna...

Tomorrow, early in the morning I will star a short vacation with my angels. We will stay in the Aland Island till next Thursday. Maybe I can create something new, I already have one idea in my head for the next painting...

Today I drove my scooter 140 kilometres - damn my butt is made of iron cause it took three whole hours and I don't feel any pain. My destination was Iittala. The 20th annual naive art exhibition made me smile.

Had a funny day with my good friend suukko4 and among other things we visited a place called Visavuori. That was the house and studio of sculptor Emil Vikström. Now it's the museum of his life and works. I just focus on sharing my photos - you can check boring true details from here. The first picture comes from the studio - what on earth did he do with organ!

The first real thunderstorm pleased me in the island. I shot my camera dozens of times but didn't catch any lightning in the picture. Somehow, the thunder feels mightier here surrounded by water. The whole island shook every time the lightning hit close. COOL!!!
