I've been creative!

It's small, smaller than the previous ones but somehow I'm quite pleased :)

This is the old painting I promised to show you when I posted a story of the angry owls. It's the biggest painting I've ever painted, 1x2 metres. They supposed to be Ural Owls but you most probably you noticed that my owls have wrong coloured eyes! Well, I think I had the artistic freedom to change the colour...

Finally, my latest painting is finished. I started this job when I was in the island of Ohtakari last summer. Finishing the job indoors was pretty different. It's so hard to get the right feeling that you felt outdoors in the sunny island. I think there's all I wanted. What's next - no idea!

An empty canvas waiting for an inspiration. Slowly the idea comes up. Lemon yellow base colour is (always) a good start. I hate white canvas. Then I had a vision to place in it a yellow house with two floors (an old pilots' house), an ancient labyrinth "the Walls of Troy", round stones with amazing lichens and a thunderstorm. All this I could see at this point.

 

I'm searching for my artistic gears. Acrylic colours, canvas, paintbrushes and small spatulas. YAY, I'm on HOLIDAY! For the upcoming nine days I will forget my ordinary rush at the office and focus on more interesting nice things. Firstly, I will have some friends visiting my place. Next Monday I'll pack my things and return to a beautiful island at Bothnia Gulf after many years. I'm going to do some paintings there. Previous visits to that island have been quite productive, so while wainting for my new amazing pictures you can admire these old ones.
